"Home"

Taken on the Blue Ridge Parkway, outside of The Great Smoky Mountains.

Nikon N90s - 28-70mm Nikon Zoom [at approx. the 28/35mm range] - Gitzo G410 Tripod w/ Studioball - too cold for any kind of wind-breaker.

Approx. 2 minute exposure, bracketed with MF-26 Control Back [67k]. This image is slightly over-exposed; it was much, much later in the evening than it looks.

The photo is named "Home" for two reasons: 1) We were on the way home <smile> and 2) we wondered how many types of of animals lived in that tree in the summer? The tree was HUGE.

Feeling of the moment: "With a 300mm ED lens, it coulda, shoulda, woulda-- but for the price of a small, Japanese automobile, that may not ever happen."
